Here is the beautiful card we made at the May meeting of the Technique Club -- Paper Piecing with a little Paper Piercing thrown in for fun! The challenge at the class was to cut several layers of the rose and leaves. Once all the layers were cut and adhered to the card, we covered it with Crystal Effects and drizzled on some Dazzling Diamonds. We used the Bella Rose Designer Series Paper for the roses, the Raspberry Tart for the background, Old Olive Ribbon, and Pink Pirouette and Riding Hood Red Card Stock.
This is my attempt at showing the layers. If you look close you can see them. The next picture is the card made by our friend Robin. She did an awesome job of using the paper piecing technique both on the outside and inside of the card.
Believe it or not, this is the inside of the card. The smoke is little puffs of cotton. The "railroad tracks" are little tiny pieces of card stock. Very clever card. We are continually amazed at the talent everyone exhibits.
Thanks for looking.
