Stamping With Judy

POP UP CARD

A couple of my Technique Club members asked for a pop-up card awhile ago.  I kept looking for something beyond the simple pop-up and finally found this gorgeous technique.  This project uses the A Rose is a Rose Stamp Set.  We started with the flower pot, textured the front and sponged the same color (Creamy Caramel) over the card stock to give it a more realistic look.  We double cut the rim of the pot, stamped the rose on it in the same color, sponged it and adhered it with dimensionals. 

The inside is a WOW!  I prepared a pattern for the stamping of the flowers.  We cut out five flowers and a few extra pieces.  To make them pop we placed an accordian fold piece of card stock (also stamped and decorated) inside for each flower to rest against.  We added Dazzling Diamonds and gems and it was fantastic.  I hope you agree!

It is too bad you cannot see the bling!  Wish someone would invent a camera that would allow us to show pictures closer to the real deal.  Trust me, this is beautiful and such a pleasant surprise when you untie the ribbon to look inside.   None of the club members tried to copy this technique.  I was not surprised and I am sure you are not either.

A NEAT TRICK!

Look what happpened when I used the SU embossing folder, Petals- A-Plenty and a brayer inked with Real Red.  Oh My!  I rolled the brayer over the embossed image and was so amazed that the ink only hits the raised embossed image.  I left the edge to show you how amazing this is.  The ink lays on the flat card stock and then only on the embossed image in the middle. 

Can't you just imagine the possibilities.  I think I see a Christmas card coming.  Will have to work on that.  But, I want all my friends who do not have a Big Shot or other die cut machine to remember that you can borrow mine for a nominal fee based on your project.  Do not hesitate to ask.  I am happy to help you.  I know that not everyone will use the Big Shot often enough to justify the invesment.

The color combos are endless.  Have fun playing with this.

INTRODUCING "BELLA STAMPERELLA"

WE HAVE A WINNER!  Our friend NIkki came up with the cutest name for our "Bear".  She is now "Bella Stamperella" and I have nick named her "Bella".  Doesn't that name just go with all of our Stampin'Up products!!!  Nikki dropped by today to pick up her free stamp set --  "Dasher".  Can't wait to see what she creates with it.

HOLIDAY MINI - PRODUCT SPOTLIGHT

There are so many fabulous products in the Holiday Mini Catalog I did not know where to begin.  I looked up and my package of the Magnetic Gift Boxes was staring me in the face.  I thought about decorating a sample for you with some ribbon and a tag.  But you know how to do that!  I have my Paper Molding sample projects on display (these were made at our August Technique Club Meeting) and decided to use the "Yellow Rose of Texas" (sorry, that is my name for this beautiful rose).  It fits perfectly and is so beautiful. 

You will find the item listed on page 33 of the Holiday MIni (116792) 2 boxes for $4.95.  What great boxes they are.  Take a look at the following pictures.

You can see they are Chocolate Brown and are approx. 4 inches square.

They fold flat for storage and can be reused again and again.

Our "Yellow Rose of Texas" fits perfectly inside.  What can you use these beautiful boxes for?  Gifts of jewelery, small items, gift cards, etc.

A FUN HALLOWEEN CLASS

This class is full of fun projects to give to your kids or to have your kids make.  This class if for both adults and kids.  There are three projects, a sweet "Treat on a Stick" (showcasing the "sweet treats cups" in the Holiday Mini Catalog), an adorable Build-a-Bear Halloween Card, and a fun Halloween Theme Tic-Tac-Toe game.
