Here is yet another great Halloween idea. This is a cute little treat box decorated with our Piece of Poison stamp set and other accessories.....what fun!
You can get the kids involved and create great little boxes (any size or shape you can find) for Halloween school events and parties. It's so much fun and the reward is a beautifully hand made box!

The card was done with Peach Parfait Cardstock (one of our In-Colors). The Design Series Paper is from the Holiday Mini, called Pick Your Poison. Stamp Set is Piece of Poison on page 9 on the Mini. The skeleton was stamped in versamark and then you add white embossing powder and set with the heat gun.

Hi Friends: I had to tweek my schedule a bit and therefore changed the date for this class. The good news is that you have extra time to register.
WOW! I do not know when I have had more fun preparing for a class. I think you will agree with me that this is a really fun collection of cards. The first sample is my favorite fold -- "Tri Fold" that is so much fun to decorate. Next we have two cards that are "stinkin" cute (take a look at the Mummy!) and an awesome tag. Yes, you see it right - I used some cute mini clothes pins as an embellishment.
I know you can't wait to attend this class! So, save the date.

Happy Monday! I am back today with another HOLIDAY MINI SAMPLE for you -- again I received this in the swap we did at my upline's meeting. This is a cute Halloween card using the one of our favorite punches, the Owl Punch. So many neat things on this card. The author (again no name given) used the scallop circle punch to make a cape for the owl. His treat bag was stamped a second time and popped up with a Dimentional cut in half. The owl is part of the new stamp set "Warmest of Wishes" which is a hostess set. Oh yeah!, you want to see what I am talking about! Okay, here it is.
She used the Big Shot to die cut the Top Note Die layer, the Spider Web embossing folder and the Square Lattice embossing folder. Very colorful and fun.

Oh Boy, I bet you are excited! You can now order all the fun things you have been drooling over in the Holiday Mini Catalog. This is without queston the best mini we have had in a long time. The new products are wonderful -- I can't really pck a favorite. The Simply Scoring Tool, the Stocking Die, the Designer Papers, etc. etc. So, to get you thinking about what you would like to have I have planned a series of posts showing samples of products from the mini.
Since Halloween is the next holiday we will be celebrating, I have chosen a sample using one of the single stamps in the Holiday Mini.
This stamp is found on Page 43, Item No. 123941.
I received this card at an upline meeting. Unfortunately the creator did not put her name on the back. I love to give credit where credit is due, so I am sorry I cannot do that this time. I have several other 2011 Holiday Mini samples that I will show you in the next several days.
The moon and aura was masked and sponged. The stamp image was stamped over that with a VersaMark Ink Pad and embossed with the new Pewter Embossing Powder (Page 31).

Are you ready for this fun holiday with your kids? I have a "cool" decoration for your home to share today. I used the "Design A House" on page 37 of the Holiday Mini (120911 - $5.95), and the Wicked Fun Specialty Designer Series Paper (117400 - $11.95). The flocked bats are cut out of the DSP.
Other items used are the 1/2" Black Lace Trim on the base of the house and for the window treatment (120988 - $5.95, Page 8 in the Holiday MIni), Midnight Raven Stamp Set (116529 - $7.95, Page 41 of the Holiday MInie), Sticky Strip, Tombow Glue and Paper Snips. This was really a fun project. Like anything else, the first one takes a bit of time. Once you learn what you need to do the next one will go much faster.

Do you have a non-candy rule at your kid's school? If so, here is an answer to a quick and inexpensive treat for your child's classroom friends. All you need is a piece of Designer Series Paper cut to 4 1/2" x 8". Fold it into a pouch, cut down on one of the folds at the top to enable you to turn the flap down. This way you can see the pencils. Adhere the one seam on the side and the bottom. Add an embelishment and you are done. I used some left over DSP from last year and a piece of 1/4" Black Grosgrain ribbon.
Feel free to contact me if you need help with supplies for this project. You can make 20-30 of these in only a couple hours. The average cost is 50cents each (excluding the pencils). You can get the best price on the pencils at a local $ store. Have fun!
Hi Friends: Is today a holiday for you? Some people I know are off today. But not everyone, so I am posting this cute HALLOWEEN Slider Card for you. kids love these slider cards, I even did one in a Christmas theme for this months holiday class.
I used a jumbo wheel on the card base, stamped a spider image on the Only Orange card stock that is matted on Elegant Eggplant card stock. I am not giving you all the details of the supplies used for this -- you can use anything you have to make a similar card. However, if you have trouble give me a call. More samples are coming!
I like this card because it uses one of our Designer Series Papers from the Holiday Mini along with the Spider Web Embossing folder as the background. No stamping on the background of this card except the little spider which is optional.
This card, created by Terry Blais, uses the Dark and Dreary stamp set, Night Owl Designer Series Paper, Spider Web Textured Embossing Folder and Raven Lace Trim, all from the Holiday Mini Catalog. The cardstock from the Idea Book and Catalog is Pear Pizzazz.
