Hi Friends: "So what does the fabulous card maker make for her Holiday Cards?" you ask. That is a really good question! I did have a difficult time deciding because the Holiday Mini has so many beautiful stamp images and accessories. It was hard to focus on one stamp set. After much time I created this card using the new "The Sounding Joy" stamp set.
The card stock colors are Cherry Cobblar and Whisper White. I used the "Snow Burst" embossing folder on the bottom half of the Whisper White layer -- tricky, huh! The ribbon is Cherry Cobbler with a 1/2" piece of Cherry Cobbler card stock punched with the Scallop Border Punch sitting behind it.
The stamped images are the star image with the words in it (stamped with River Rock Ink Pad) and the Joy image stamped on top of the star. To give the card a little bling I mixed the Cherry Cobbler embossing powder with some Dazzling Diamonds (our favorite glitter) by stamping first with a VersaMark Ink Pad and heat setting after appling the embossing powder mix. That is my special tip for today. The Cherry Cobbler Ink by itself did not look good. But when I mixed the two products it really popped! I made 75 of these. Oh Boy! That was fun!
Hope you are having fun with your holiday preparations. If you need help with anything, feel free to contact me.
HAPPY HOLIDAYS!
