I have been waiting until the HOLIDAY MINI catalog is available to you before showing this fabulous new SCORING TOOL.  This is a must have tool in everyone's crafting space.

Meet The New Colors

WITTY WEDNESDAY - Clear Mount Block Storage

As of today I am beginning a series of regular posts on Wednesdays that answer all types of questions regarding Paper Crafting, Stampin'Up! products, tips on how to use the products and more!

 

My first article discusses the Clear Mount Blocks and a storage solution.

If you are like me, you have started purchasing the new clear mount stamps.  That means you also have needed to purchase clear blocks for mounting these stamps.  When Stampin’ Up! first came out with clear mount blocks I was worried about how I would store these new blocks because, lets face it, who really has the room for storage with all our craft supplies, right?

 

 

Well, the Clear Block Storage Caddy (120279) $16.95 on page 192 of the Idea Book & Catalog, is the PERFECT way to store the various sized clear blocks.  It also has the added advantage of a handle so you can take it where you go as well!  How convenient is that? 

 

It has nine sections to hold each size block that Stampin' Up! sells.  It has a flap to lock close.  It opens all the way to a flat position to easily view all the blocks and has a foam sheet to protect the blocks from scratching each other when it's closed.

Why Do You Need Re-Inkers?

A common question I always get from people is - "Why do I need to get re-inkers?". 

Well, the answer is simple.....  There are so many uses for re-inkers!  The best answer is that it's more economical than going out and purchasing a new stamp pad every 6 months (average life of a stamp pad with moderate use).  Most people just use the pad and then buy a new pad because you love the crisp clean images that you get with a new stamp pad.  If you had the re-inker, you would just get your re-inker out, drop a few drops on your current ink pad, and it is refreshed, just like new again!  Here are a few other reasons to purchase re-inkers:

• Mix your own colors:  use the top of your stamp case, drop a few colors in, mix and paint
• GREAT for watercoloring: again, I usually drop a few drops of re-inker in the lid of an empty stamp case, and then pick up the color with a water color brush or Aquapainter
• Dye your own ribbon, flowers and fleurettes: either rub the white ribbon on the ink pad directly or use a few drops from the re-inker and you have accessories that match your cardstock
• Fill empty Stampin' Around cartridges with your re-ink color of choice
• My favorite use: A few drops on a Qtip to cover up scuff marks on your shoes or Sandals

So consider purchasing re-inkers for your favorite colors and never be left without a choice!
