My Digital Studio and Sale-a-Bration

STAND UP CARD

I made this fun STAND UP CARD at my Upline's Meeting last weekend.  This card looks tricky, but it really goes together very easily.  It is one piece of card stock that is scored and adhered in only one place!

Instructions:  It is best to prepare the project by cutting all the pieces of card stock first, and then assemble by size.  Stamp and color your images before assembling in the event you need to re-stamp an image.  Use card stock colors of your choice -- the sample uses Basic Black, Garden Green and Whisper White.  The image was colored with Melon Mambo, Daffodil Delight and Garden Green Markers.  I achieved the shading by lightly applying the first layer of color and then going back over it for a shaded/darker tone.  To finish the card, used a bone folder to give you crisp score lines.  Place a piece of Sticky Strip on the two 1" ends.  Remove the cover of one side and lay the art piece centered over it lining it up with the bottom of the card stock.  Then remove the cover on the other end and fold it into the first piece.  You are now ready to stand up your card!  The great part about this card is that it folds down and fits into a standard envelope. 

Materials and Dimensions:  Cardstock Base:  4 1/4" x 11"

Scored at 1", 2 3/4", 3 3/4", 5 1/2", 7 1/4", 8 1/4" and 10"

Front:  Mat is 4" x 3/4", Stamped Layer is 3 3/4" x 1/2"

Pop Up:  Bottom Layer:  3" x 5", Mat 3 3/4" x 2 3/4", Stamped Layer 3 1/2" x 2 1/2".

Quick and Simple Notes

With the new products in the Sale-a-Bration catalog, you have so many options when you create notes and cards.  Here is a great Sample of a bunch of different type notes you can make with just 2 sets. 

 
These wonderful samples come to us from fellow demonstrator Dawn Griffith and what a great idea!  She used the Punch Bunch and So Happy for You stamp sets from the Sale-a-Bration catalog for the main images.  The background of each card uses the Scallop Square punch and the main image is the Two Step Owl punch.  Add your own googlie eyes and adhesive.  Each note has a different sentiment on it. You can really use any colors but the ones she used are Melon Mambo, Pacific Point, Rich Razzleberry and Tangerine Tango.

Sale-a-Bration and Bliss

The Sale-a-Bration catalog has so many great products this year.  One of the stamp sets you can earn for FREE is the new Bliss stamp set.

Sale-a-Bration: Sweet Summer

After watching the video I posted yesterday, I wanted show you another way to use the Sweet Summer stamp set, and to continue to inspire you with samples from our Sale-a-Bration catalog.  These are some really nice ideas -- I hope you continue to enjoy them.

This lovely card comes to us from fellow Stampin' Up! demonstrator Andrea Munro and really makes me anxious for Spring....LOL  She uses the Sweet Summer SAB stamp set and the sentiment is from the Full of Life stamp set from the current Idea Book and Catalog.
